John joined the band in November of 1999 bringing with him a sound fueled by the Boston Rock scene. He relocated from bean town back to San Francisco in June of that year. While in Boston, John created and hosted live music nights on Lansdowne Street. The Monday Night Jams Series was a live variety night that featured a diverse mix of Boston's up and coming bands and artists. In the mid 90's, the night turned into The Starlight Lounge, featuring weekly live jazz and soul DJs. The night's success gave birth to a second night called SMOKE hosted live jazz sessions featuring local and national jazz acts.
