Event Coordination
The following is a brief description of promotional events and live music nights.
The Monday Night Jams series was the first MMW club night in Boston. The goal was to give people a reason to go out on a Monday night. The concept behind The Jams was an all-out rock & roll extravaganza. We booked 5 to 10 bands a night, had a house band (that featured Al and Dorian from Powerman 5000 - SKG Dreamworks), invited vendors to sell their art, had an intermission jazz band in the balcony and generally did anything we could to entertain our patrons. Each night featured a different musical style such as, rock & roll, funk, blues, etc.

In 1994, The Monday Night Jams closed its doors and reopened as The Starlight Lounge. It was a down and dirty working man's jazz night that turned a Boston dance club into a New York jazz club. Alternating sets of some of the hottest DJs and musicians in Boston, the night catered to all types of personalities. Our stage saw the best of the local scene as well as national acts including Larry Goldings, Bill Pierce, Bob Moses and the son of the ledgend, Ravi Coltrane. At one point the night actually split into two nights running on different days in different clubs, and in it's final incarnation it joined together as SMOKE.

The Seven Deadly Trips
The 7DTs was a series of themed snowboarding trips. We ran Seven trips a season, each based on one of the seven deadly sins. For example, in the spring we featured the Vanity trip. On this trip each rider would receive a loaded point and shoot camera (courtesy of our sponsor). The entire bus would then participate in a huge photo shoot/contest of the vainest sport in the world. The photos were judged and prizes were given away at the following deadly party. The trips were run out of Underground Snowboard (Boston) to resorts in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Sponsors included: Airwalk International, Burton Snowboards, Nitro Snowboards, Arnette, K2 and Dragon Optics.

Super Big, Night Air Competition
In association with Underground Snowboard and Stowe Mountain Resort, the 7Dts crew hosted two night time freestyle snowboarding competitions. A huge 4 story jump was built landing riders next to Stowe's Midway Lodge. Inside the lodge, looking out at the event, bands played and drinks were flowing. Bands included Powerman 5000, Gang Green and The Shaggahs. Sponsorship and contest prizes were provided by Burton Snowboards, Airwalk, 26 Red, Stowe Mountain Resort, Geffen Records and Dragon Optics.

The Rat's Nest was a cross promotion created to hype the 7DTs snowboard bus trips. Snowboarders and skateboarders came to the night to hang-out, play pool and stay in touch during the pre-winter season. When the trips started, the Boston club scene was well informed and attendence was high. The night featured live bands, snowboard give-a-ways, pool tables and snowboard movie screenings.

In 1997 The International came to us with an offer we couldn't refuse. The site was a financial district restaurant, the mission was to turn the lower level into a cutting edge night club. Everything was in place, raw space, local talent and what seemed like an unlimited budget. We literally built the place from the ground up starting with a new dance floor and ending with a state of the art intelligent lighting system. In-between we put a new bar staff, DJs, architectural design, an extensive promotional plan and a four night schedule that blew away most of the competition. From Wednesday night's live jazz to Saturday night's deep house/drum & bass with dual drummers flanked by dual DJs, we redefined Boston's night life.
